The upside of it is that there will be more collectors coming into the fold, which means more demand and hopefully more supply that will bring the prices down. On the downside, plant theft is on the rise.
Ever since then, collectors have been advised to have the plant pickups in public places and not in their homes to prevent thieves from scoping out their houses and running off with their prized plants. The thought of meeting a new collector at my local New World for pickup is a very sad one. I have always gushed about my plants and a big part of it is sharing them to fellow enthusiasts.
